Venue and Accommodation

UPDATE 1-- MARCH 8TH

John, Greg and Tim Juratowitch visited Singleton last week and booked a venue for the October gathering. We also confirmed that accommodation in Singleton can be difficult because of the number of mining company employees who stay during the week. Also October is a busy time generally in the Hunter Valley.
The Saturday programme
Venue: Singleton Diggers (RSL Club) York Street.
5pm. Presentation on the Family History
            6pm. Pre Dinner Drinks
            7pm. Dinner.
The Sunday Programme
BBQ Brunch. Time and Location to be confirmed.
Other Activities under consideration
Tour of points of Family interest
            Golf on Sunday morning.
            Recording Oral History.
COST.
The RSL Club is changing caterers later in the year, so we cannot confirm prices until that is in place. However, as a guide, we expect the cost of the confirmed Saturday programme and the Sunday Brunch to be about $45 per person with a reduced price for children.

ACCOMMODATION
If you are considering coming I strongly advise you to book your rooms now.
You will find a list of Motels, Hotels, Caravan Parks and B&B's on this link http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31110895/accommodation.pdf
As a guide the most expensive is at the top of the list. Some of the Hotel accommodation is very basic, so I suggest you ask for a detailed description of what is being offered. There is no accommodation close to the RSL but then nothing is too far away in Singleton. There are also extensive accommodation options a little further afield in the Wine Country.

Please contact Greg or Tim if you have any questions or suggestions.
The adjacent photo is of Jack Tobin, son of Caroline Juratowitch and John Tobin. If you have any photos or other memorabilia please send me a copy or bring them with you to Singleton.
That is all for now, but please keep an eye on the site for further updates and tell all your relatives about the gathering. I know I have not been in touch with everyone.

Tim Juratowitch.

Hi Olivia
I am glad to hear you are still planning a trip. I was talking to our distant cousin Ned today. He has recently returned from 2 months in Europe.
